The Shape Psychology in Shipping Supplies.

The shape of your packaging does impact customer perception. Most do not realize it, but when you have it in a certain shape, it can create a result.

For example, round and square boxes tend to have different reactions. Square boxes are more traditional, and most companies prefer to use them. but you can indicate luxury, and really show a next level of packaging to it.

The same goes for gith. Slim and wide packages indicate different sorts of things. slim packaging is something that’s used for small items, maybe with a hint of delicacy to them. They are also used for high-end items because it shows that you are not wasteful.

Wider packages indicate something big, and builds excitement in that regard. A wider package is harder to hold, so it might indicate that there is something special, or unexpected in this.

But, the problem with bigger packages is that, if the item is not big, it can be seen as wasteful in certain areas.

Function and Emotional Packaging design

Now, we want to cater to emotions, humoring them as best as we can. aesthetics are what get customers excited, and inevitably come back.

Butt her’es also the practicality and benefits that come with this as well. Your practical benefits are what triumph over the aesthetics of the performance in many cases. Because, while it might look good right now, if it gets to the customer all damaged, that’s inevitably a problem. so, you want to make sure that your packaging looks good, but also feels good too, teetering the precarious balance between both.

Odd Shaped Packaging You Might Use

So if we’re going to ditch the square boxes and rectangular mailers, what are some of the common types of shipping supplies then.

On, are triangular mailers. Good for if you have an item inside and want that to be the focus. It does come with the downside that it will not fit everything, but it does look good.

Then there’s cylindrical tubs, which are tubes that are of cylindrical sort of shape. Again, it works well, and is great for posters.

Then, you have hexagonal boxes. Boxes that are in the shape of a hexagon. It can be a good thing, especially for high-end luxury forms of packaging, as it does really stand out.

Again, all of these are options if you’re looking to try and make your shaped packaging work.

Shipping considerations for these Shapes

There’s a few considerations that come with this type of packaging, and it is important to look at such.

The first, is the costs that come with it. it can be a lot more costly to use something a little bit different than just the normal boxes.

The other problem is stacking. If the box is going to be stacked on each other, the shape of o boxes might not be the best thing for it.

Finally, protection. The triangular mailers are cool, but please remember that they are not as easy for one to use, and it can be a bit of a problem for some people.   You might want to look at if it is going to offer enough protection.
